My cat is notoriously aggressive and basically feral, who I adopted from the shelter (but Sheeba is my little baby), and the Cat Hospital of Austin is the ONLY vet clinic I know that can take care of her and treat her effectively, despite her behavioral issues. I absolutely trust them 100% with my cat. She has always been extremely well taken care of while undergoing procedures/treatments/exams. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, communicative, and it's comforting to know that they specialize in taking care of cats. If your cat(s) need a vet, please consider the Cat Hospital of Austin, they will take good care of them! P.S. I also love the waiting room cats who come out and visit. I am so pleased we were referred to the Cat Hospital by my sitter. When I moved to Austin, I opted for Allandale Vet Clinic bc it was closer. We had a horribly traumatic visit and left immediately. In retrospect, I’m grateful for that because so far 2 have been misdiagnosed by Allandale. The level of care the Cat Hospital provides has been such a relief for our household of 3 senior kitties. Everyone was so kind and compassionate, and you can tell they truly love cats. They spent so much time answering any questions and are clearly very knowledgable overall. Best information flow of any veterinarian office I have ever used..in over 50 years. Like the consistency of one physician and a solid experienced staff. It is a 30+ minute drive to get to their office but worth it..and they work to schedule me with that in mind plus follow up with phone calls to check on my cat’s condition or any outstanding questions. Like the specialization of cats only…wish I could find their equivalent for my dog.

Laurene02/06/2021I adore the CHoA. ALL of their staff is so good to my cats and me. Even my really aggressive cat is handled with such grace and sweetness there. I love this practice because the staff is exceptional, the prices are fair and they offer Scratchpay payments, they are thorough during examinations of my cats and Dr. Leland explains every detail she noticed during the exams, and they happen to be right down the street from me!

Over the years, I have really appreciated the “Cats Only” environment as my purrbabies don’t like barking. They don’t seem to mind going to the vet or spending the day there. I always know that my current kitty, Tigger, is well cared for.

You guys are always very informative and i love the text and email reminders about appointments because i can forget those things easily. We couldn’t imagine taking Tucker anywhere but the Cat Hospital.

Ayse12/16/2020I love y’all. Bagheera cried the whole way there anticipating the appointment. After the quick post tooth extraction check up other than one confused meow she was quiet the entire way home and that was over 15 miles. She has never been quiet like that on the way home before not even from our last vet 2 miles from the house. The kind care and reduced stress of Cats only is such a positive.

All of the staff are always professional and truly seem to care about my senior cat. If there is any issue or concern, they are quick to take care of it. I appreciate everyone here and thank them for taking care of my girl.

The information you provided about my cat’s health and how to care for her was far more thorough than I am used to getting from a veterinarian. Everything from how the drop-off was handled to the emails you sent show great attention to detail and care for my cat. I would definitely recommend Cat Hospital of Austin to others.

Annette/Susan11/10/2020I took my Yuki to another place only because the Cat Hospital wasn’t able to fit him in. Over 560$ later they said he was fine, and I took him home but he declined rapidly, and lost over a tenth of his weight in seven days. The Cat Hospital was able to get him in when I was panicked and couldn’t stop crying because my Yuki would cry and cry for help and look at me and I couldn’t do anything to stop his pain. They showed compassion and cared for him better than the last place, and didn’t have to drug him to do the tests they needed because they didn’t frighten him. They sent him home with the right food and medicine (the other place sent neither for him) and he’s finally improving after over a month of being ill. I will love the Cat Hospital forever, recommend them to everyone, and only take my kitty to them from now on.
Wren11/10/2020Everyone at the clinic was very sweet and very helpful! I took my cat in because his weight had dropped dramatically and he wasn’t eating. After working with him for almost a week, he was able to come home and enjoy being a cat again. His weight and eating habits are getting better by the day. I’m so thankful for them and will definitely be back again! 🙂

Amelia10/21/2020The staff is friendly and respectful. They have taken extraordinary steps to make routine visits Covid-19 safe. Dr Percival has many years of experience with cats and seems to diagnose intuitively. But she is cautious and recommends lab tests when necessary. My cats like her and are always calm when I come to pick them up. That is really important to me!

Even through Covid-19, the team works well together to handle mutliple crises as well as daily priorities with kindness and sensitivity to individual patient needs. Dr. Percival-Leland has our highest respect for bringing her whole heart and head to work each day! You all make this look too easy even though it’s never been. Dr Percival Leland you really allowed me the space to share Bagheera’s behaviors and allowed me to include all aspects of foods supplements etc so that I could give you the most complete landscape to work from. Lauren and everyone I interacted with ( I am sorry I don’t remember everyones names ) were wonderful, kind, and compassionate to my distress; and gentle and sweet with my Bagheera. You all helped to answer my questions And make sure I had all information and medications Bagheere might need. Thank you all so very much!! It felt like family.

I was very anxious because my cat has high anxiety when it comes to go to going to the vet but the staff were very understanding and eased my concerns. Dr. Percival was also very patient with me while I asked many questions. The follow up email of everything we talked about was also very helpful and appreciated. I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely move all of Luna’s veterinary care to the Cat Hospital of Austin. Thank you so much for your help!

Staff is pleasant and called to get recent history before appointment and then called me and gave a full report when checkup was complete. As always I am very satisfied with the level of service received.
